I have supported these three organizations for many years because I believe in what they do. They do what I wish I could. They work to create a sustainable future for the people they help. They turn up in times of crisis, they help by attempting to restore the human dignity and self belief in a time of total loss or feeling of hopelessness. They personify love and kindness. By doing just a little more we will see massive change affected throughout the earth. Please feel free to look through these organisations and get involved.

Tearfund
We work particularly in Africa, Asia and South America – and also across Eastern Europe and the UK. Right now, we’re focussing on some of the biggest challenges facing the world today including: Defeating desease: The prevalence of killer diseases such as HIV, malaria and tuberculosis. Improving basic services: The injustice of lack of water and sanitation, which leads to disease and death. Resolving economic injustice: Unfair trade that locks hard working people in poverty. Restoring the environment:The devastating effects of climate change on poor communities

Sightsavers
It was a busy year last year for Sightsavers, and saw us achieve many successes. Amongst these were: 13,357,577 people were seen by our local partners, and 9,845,421 people were treated as a result. We supported 361,432 eye operations. 21,796,685 people were protected against river blindness in Africa. We supported the training of 149,247 primary eye care workers. Our partners helped 7,274 people who are blind to lead independent lives by training in mobility, orientation and life skills. We supported 5,919 children who are visually impaired to attend mainstream schools.

Oxfam
To have the biggest possible impact on the lives of poor people worldwide, Oxfam concentrates on three interlinked areas of work: Emergency response: People need help in an emergency - fast. We save lives, swiftly delivering aid, support and protection; and we help communities develop the capacity to cope with future crises. Development work: Poor people can take control, solve their own problems, and rely on themselves - with the right support. We fund long-term work to fight poverty in thousands of communities worldwide. Campaigning for change: Poverty isn't just about lack of resources. In a wealthy world it's about bad decisions made by powerful people. Oxfam campaigns hard, putting pressure on leaders for real lasting change.
